Office Before/After Reveal! +Cost Breakdown

Hi everybody! It’s finally time for the office reveal! I can’t believe this is my office now and that I did most of it myself! I honestly wasn’t sure I could achieve this. I looked at my office everyday for 4 years knowing that everything done in it was so poorly done. The trim didn’t line up, the floor was cracking, there was weird built ins and mold growing from the piping that was put in for a washer/dryer. You can see a lot of the before shots and a mood board of what I was going for here. And I must say I stayed pretty close! I do still think it would be fun to paint the ceiling, but for right now we will let it sit. Below I am going to breakdown the cost of what it took to complete this project. Some of these expenses were splurges, while some were necessary.

Before/After

AFTER

With the door being made into a pocket door, and the removal of the closet it opened up this whole back wall. I’ve always loved the idea of a bookcase wall so I build one! I’m absolutely obsessed and it’s my favorite part of the room

Pretty much everything was replaced in this room. Insulation put in, new drywall, beadboard ceiling restored, new floors, window trim, and crown molding. I wanted my desk to feel professional and well put together, so I did a build in desk. This also solved the issue of losing my storage from the old closet, and I actually think I have more storage now. There’s cabinets on both sides where I can store my vacuum, dog food, and adjustable shelves.
